Tell us about your employment prior to joining One

My background is the motor industry where I worked as a vehicle diagnostic technician. A large part of my career was spent with a large Japanese vehicle manufacturer which enabled me to specialise in hybrid vehicle technology.

What personal qualities do you need to be successful in your
current role?

You need to be approachable, organised, consistent, reliable and hard working.

What elements of your role do you enjoy most?

Working with such a highly skilled diverse team and of course working with students as they start the building blocks of their careers.

What's the most challenging aspect of your role?

Working efficiently in order to make time to fulfil all of the expectations for my job role.

What's a typical day at work for you?

With such a busy work environment the days go very quickly. Some days will be teaching all morning and then afternoons spent completing management role tasks.

What spurs you on to work each day?

To do the best job | can for all of our students and allow them to be the best they can be academically and personally.
