New production of A Chorus Line set to be ‘sensational, shocking and hilarious’…..
BackOne Sixth Form College are high kicking their way towards Christmas by creating a new production of the musical called A Chorus Line (A Teen Edition).
The show – that was a smash hit film in the 80’s starring Michael Douglas – tells the story of 17 performers who audition for the chance to perform on Broadway.
This production follows on the back of the sixth forms sell out version of Rock of Ages last autumn.
Taking place between 20-22 November 2024 at the college in Ipswich, tickets can be purchased here: www.ticketsource.co.uk/suffolkone
And according to one of the cast leads, it’s well worth a watch.
Rudy Hendin, 17, from Ipswich is playing the character Zach. He said: “We are one month into rehearsals and it’s all coming together nicely. I’ve previously been in Legally Blonde and Hairspray – but this is my biggest role to date.”
He added: “It’s going to be sensational, shocking and hilarious.”
Tanya Verow, head of performing arts at One Sixth Form College said: "Our students and staff have poured immense effort and passion into rehearsals over the past seven weeks, bringing this backstage musical to life. Through development of the characters' stories, exciting dance routines and stunning moments between the characters, they have captured the essence of ONE and transformed it into a compelling on-stage experience. The energy, dedication, and talent of the entire cast and crew promises to make this an unforgettable performance."
